Sometimes people ask me: what is your best photography workshop or course? A really mega difficult question but at the steel wool workshop I always have a very big smile on my face.
What starts with a small spark quickly becomes a spectacular shower of sparks on the photo.
I also think the location is important because you want to make an image with a foreground and a background. This gives color and depth.
We use a slow shutter speed and shoot on a tripod. Important is the balance with the background, but also the amount of sparks. A shutter speed that is too slow will have too many sparks, making the patterns less spectacular.
You only really learn the technique in practice and that is why I have a steel wool photography course to teach you the intricacies of the camera settings and the shooting itself.
